Congratulations everybody on such fine work.

ANNOUNCING THE PAINT A FANTASY CREATURE COMPETITION!!!

Now that we've done scary, it's time to do fanciful. For this contest, a fantasy creature is defined as a non-humanoid being or animal that is...well.. magical. This includes unicorns dragons, pegasuses, (or is it pegasii?).  This does not include humanoids such as fairies, pixies and such. We're saving those for another contest later on.  If you're not sure if the model you want to paint fits the category, email me at spikepage(at)att.net.

The rules are as follows.
  • Contest entry must be a model representing a fantasy creature as in the examples above.
  • The model must be by Reaper Miniatures, and can be from any of their product lines except of course their Legendary Encounters pre-painted plastic line.
  • Entry must be painted entirely by the person entering it.
  • Participants must be present at the time of judging to win.
  • Participants compete in either the 12-and-under or 13-and-up category.
  • 1st and 2nd prizes will be awarded in each of the two categories.
  • This contest is free and opened to anybody, not just P&P club regulars.
Judging will take place on Sunday, December 20 at 3pm at Hobbytown USA in Kennesaw. This will give everybody a bit of extra time to paint during the upcoming busy holiday season.

Meanwhile, I will be updating the calendar with P&T's new schedule. Due to seasonal changes and other commitments, we will be wrapping up future paint-and-take sessions at 3pm rather than 4. I hope to have the calendar updated within the week.
