Long overdue updates and photos

My apologies for being so long overdue with my posting here. This past month has been a bit of a whirlwind due to the unexpected passing of Steve's father back in mid-May. We both have been busy taking care of family business, not to mention our regular jobs, and I've not had many chances to update any of my blogs.

BUT I still have a camera full of pics from the past few events, all sorts of plans for the upcoming summer months, and a surprise or two up my sleeves.

Here's some of the stuff painted back on the last day of May.

And that was also the day we judged the winner for the Paint-a-Orc contest.

Congratulations to Trevor, who is the second biggest orc fan at P&P. Here's his entry standing on the stoop of the HirstArts tower which he won. The caption ought to say "You kids get off my lawn!"

ANNOUNCING THE PAINT-A-DWARF COMPETITION!

The rules are as follows..same as previous contests.

  • Contest entry must be a model representing a dwarf.
  • The model must be by Reaper Miniatures, and can be from any of their product lines except of course their Legendary Encounters pre-painted plastic line.
  • Entry must be painted entirely by the person entering it.
  • Participants must be present at the time of judging to win.
  • Participants compete in either the 12-and-under or 13-and-up category.
  • 1st and 2nd prizes will be awarded in each of the two categories.
  • This contest is free and opened to anybody, not just P&P club regulars.
The judging will take place on the last Sunday in July at 4pm at Hobbytown USA. Prizes to be announced here soon.

I will be updating the calendar over the next few days. Check back regularly for any further announcements.
